PostScript FAQ
Is it safe to keep sensitive information on the site?
The PostScript system is very secure and relies on state-of-the-art technologies and professional systems monitoring and support to protect your information. When you use the website, a secure connection is made using an SSL certificate. All Member, Beneficiary (recipient), and Legacy Agent personal information stored on PostScript is encrypted to ensure that no one has access to the information.
How can I contact PostScript?
If you encounter problems while using the PostScript system, just send an e-mail to the PostScript team at support@mypostscript.com and we will be able to assist you further.
How will PostScript know that I am no longer alive?
Notification to PostScript of your death will be made via notification from your Legacy Agent(s) to legacyreport@mypostscript.com.
How does PostScript ensure that information or actions that I have directed be released after I am gone are not inadvertently released while I am alive?
The PostScript system is highly secure and will allow release of information only after your Legacy Agent(s) provides notification that you have passed.
What is a Legacy Agent?
A Legacy Agent is the individual or individuals who will be responsible for notifying PostScript of your passing. We recommend that you identify two Legacy Agents. Your Legacy Agent(s) must open and maintain a PostScript account. After your Legacy Agent(s) opens their account, you have the additional option (through your Account Dashboard) to require them to provide PostScript with documentation of your death (e.g., a published obituary or death certificate). Even though we contact your Legacy Agent(s) directly using the e-mail address you provide, it is your responsibility to notify your Legacy Agent(s) of this obligation. Below is our suggested notification language:
Dear [Insert Legacy Agent],
I have a favor to ask. I’ve signed up with PostScript, which is a legacy planning service, to take care of some things after I pass. PostScript offers a variety of services, including delivering gifts, cards, and messages to folks after we’re gone, planning events, and building a lasting online legacy. Yes, it can be a little creepy at first, but there are some things I want to make sure are taken care of. I’m writing to ask you to be my PostScript Legacy Agent.
PostScript depends on Legacy Agents to notify them when a Member dies. After I pass, you will report my death to PostScript by e-mailing them at legacyreport@mypostscript.com. They will then do any verification I requested, and from there will execute my legacy plans. That’s right, you only have one job—to send an e-mail.
I really appreciate you doing this for me. Your next step is to sign up at www.mypostscript.com. While you’re there, feel free to take a look around and see if PostScript might be of service to you or your loved ones.
Is PostScript free?
The myPostScript feature of PostScript is available free of charge. As a Member, you can also choose to purchase gifts, greeting cards, e-Cards, and PS Messages. Members also have access to PostScript Concierge.

What kind of information can be put into a myPostScript?

How long will myPostScript remain viewable?
myPostScripts are visible indefinitely after they are made public.

Should I tell my Beneficiary about the planned PostScript messages or gifts?
This is entirely up to you, depending upon how you would like your sentiments to be received.
